Individualized Curricula

The four main areas of focus, the “fitnesses,” are intended to create qualities that together contribute to the wholeness of these youth, who for a variety of reasons, such as the widespread effects of parental incarceration, lack all of the skills beneficial for living a productive and healthy lifestyle. These qualities may be instilled, but after many years of negative living, there may be insurmountable or difficult situations, such as failing high school, missing grades, losing higher-education or vocational opportunities, or an undesirable work history.
